A quick note on how we actually make money

When you take a loan through a lender listed here, that lender pays us a fee. That's the whole business — it's how this site and every free guide on it stays free for you.

That fee's the same no matter which lender you pick, so we've got no reason to steer you toward one over another. If a lender ever asked us to rank them higher than they earned, we'd drop them instead of promoting them.

Common questions

Will this hurt my credit score?
No. Checking your rate uses a soft credit inquiry, which doesn't affect your score. A hard inquiry only happens if you formally accept a specific lender's offer.
If you get paid by lenders, how do I know I'm seeing the best rate?
We're paid the same referral fee no matter which lender you choose, so there's no financial incentive to steer you toward one over another. Lenders are ranked by rate and terms for your profile, not by payout — and we check the network twice a year to remove any lender whose fees or terms stop making sense.
How fast can I get funded?
It varies by lender — anywhere from same-day to about a week once you're approved and accept an offer. Prosper and Avant tend to be fastest in our network; Discover and Best Egg can take a bit longer depending on verification.
What credit score do I need?
It depends on the lender — our network ranges from no strict minimum (OneMain Financial) up to around 680 for the lowest advertised rates (SoFi). Checking your rate shows you which lenders are actually willing to work with your specific profile.

Take your time with this — there's no form on this page trying to rush you. If nothing here fits, we'll say so straight, no hard feelings.

Read a lender card like a reviewer.

Put the details next to each other before you choose. Start with the same loan amount and term, then look beyond the monthly payment.

Compare personal loans

Before submitting, check the provider’s credit-inquiry disclosure. A comparison is not an approval or a commitment to borrow.
